Can't say I recommend it. Just went there one time. Nice atmosphere but...we were waited on by 4 different people, and I was disgusted to get halfway through my taco salad before discovering a large piece of beef mixed into the lettuce. Not a lot of vegetarian options, either.

- Welcome! I'm Sophia, a writer and young agriculturalist from Vermont with a scientific, beyond-organic approach to food production + landscape design. I graduated from the University of Vermont in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Ecology + Farm Systems, and have worked in organic agriculture in many capacities before + since. My philosophy is that we humans have a powerful, inescapable need to grow food + connect with nature, and that it in turn models or directly provides all of the design principles, tools and phytochemicals we need to produce healthy food on less land while restoring ecological health. But we are not there yet. According to a 2010 USDA report, “Tilling the soil is the equivalent of an earthquake, hurricane, tornado, and forest fire occurring simultaneously to the world of soil organisms.” As sustainable producers, we can - we must - do better. I invite you to join me in an exploration of agricultural methods that sequester carbon, enhance biodiversity and reduce waste - but I need your help to identify them and spread the word!
